More About the Zenith, Washington, DC
It is somewhat uncommon to find historic, former apartment buildings that now have condo residences as spacious as those found at the Zenith. While some of the one-bedroom units are in the 800 foot range, many are quite larger. The duplex lofts with their towering ceilings are especially impressive. The interiors offer an appealing mixture of modernity and traditional design, with gleaming hardwood floors and deep-set windows. The old galley kitchens were removed during the gut renovation, replaced by open gourmet cook spaces with stone counters, tile backsplashes, stainless steel appliances, and oversized cabinets. Some of the loft units have upstairs kitchens, while others are reversed. The bathrooms are also nicely remodeled, and each condo has an intercom, a washer and dryer, and extra storage.
The pet-friendly Zenith has lovely landscaping and gardens in front, charming brick walkways, and a gas grill station. The sunken front lobby with its remarkable ceiling details has been nicely restored. There is even an off-street parking area behind the building, with assigned spaces for many but not all of the residences. Whole Foods is a block away on P Street, and the Logan Circle roundabout with its grassy inner circle park I about two blocks away. Also notable are all the nearby bars and restaurants, including ChurchKey, Commissary, the Diplomate, Crown & Crow, Birch & Barley, Logan Tavern, and many more. It’s all part of a vibrant lifestyle experience in the nation’s capital, and less than a mile from Downtown DC.
