Wardman Tower Condominium

Located at 2660 Connecticut Avenue NW, Washington, DC 20008 | Woodley Park

One of Washington, DC’s most iconic landmark buildings, Wardman Tower recently received a major makeover. The eight-story structure was built in 1928 by Harry Wardman as an annex to his preexisting hotel. After an extensive overhaul by the developer JPG Companies and New York City-based architect New York’s Deborah Berke Partners, the historic tower in Woodley Park with its four dramatic wings reopened as a luxury condominium with just 32 very spacious residences, plus full service amenities.

More About Wardman Tower, dc

Condos at Wardman Tower represent the epitome of style and grace with no expenses spared in a years-long renovation. Layouts range from approximately 2,500 to 4,648 square feet with a carefully considered merger of old and new sensibilities. Units typically occupy a section of a wing, extending out from the central portion of the building. Each residence is unique, with large multipaned windows and bays that look out onto grounds that have been meticulously groomed by Michael Vergason Landscape Architects.

Many of the condominium homes at Wardman Tower have private balconies, and the penthouses have grand staircases leading up to private roof decks. The finishes are extraordinary in all the units, including crown molding, millworks, and six inch wide oak Admonter wood floors with herringbone details. The huge dine-in gourmet kitchens could easily grace any magazine cover, with American Henrybuilt cabinetry, Danby Royal marble backsplashes, coastal grey Pentalquartz counters, and Thermador appliances. Other spaces include formal dining rooms, large galleries, main living areas with fireplaces, and family rooms.  Libraries and/or dens are quite common. The baths are also beautifully done with heated floors, Danby Royal tile walls, stone vanity counters, and Waterwork fixtures.

The number of amenities is quite impressive for a building with just 32 residences. A large staff includes the front desk, concierge service, a doorman, porters, valets, and on-site building engineer. There are two lounges for relaxation, a catering kitchen and bar, a library, a huge fitness and yoga center, and options for housekeeping. There is also a main rooftop terrace in addition to individual roof decks for the penthouses.

The building is pet-friendly and there’s plenty of places to walk your dog with 2.5 acres of surrounding lawns as well as local neighborhood parks. And while each condo comes with two or three parking spaces, it’s also nice to know that the Woodley Park-Zoo/Adams Morgan Metro station is just down the block on Connecticut Avenue. There’s also a number of restaurants within strolling distance. Other condo buildings in the neighborhood include Woodley-Wardman, a couple blocks away.
