More About Ritz-Carlton Residences, md
The Ritz-Carlton Residences in Chevy Chase were completed in 2023, with stately exterior architecture by David M. Schwartz and exquisite interiors by the Akseizer Design Group. Unlike its siblings in Georgetown and the West End, the Chevy Chase address does not include a companion hotel. Instead, the development is devoted to 65 sophisticated and spacious condo residences across six levels, along with street-level retail. And while there isn’t a hotel component, there are still plenty of white gloves amenities for residents to enjoy.
Located along Connecticut Avenue with its posh shops and restaurants, the Ritz-Carlton Residences are also close to multiple greenspaces, including the Columbia Country Club. The condos come in four different layouts: The Park, The Lake Collection, The Chase Collection, and Lion and Crown.
There are varying designs within each of the four models, from features and finishes to square footage. Floorplans range from one bedroom, a study, and 1.5 baths to three bedrooms and 3.5 baths. Sizes vary from 1,107 to 2,202 square feet. Prices begin at $849,800 and climb up to a starting point of $2,150,000 for the Lion and Crown penthouse-style apartments. Each unit, no matter what the size or model, has a private outdoor space.
The Ritz-Carlton Residences is set within a mixed-use community known as Chevy Chase Lake, at the corner of Manor Road and Connecticut Avenue. Mostly forgotten these days, Chevy Chase Lake was once a man-made lake 40 yards east of Connecticut Ave. It was also the location of the Chevy Chase Lake Amusement Park, a popular attraction for the “most refined patronage” between 1894 and 1937. The new mixed-use development with its high-end shops, restaurants, and residential buildings is located where the former amusement resort once stood, at the end of the old Connecticut Avenue trolley line.
Residents and visitors to the Ritz-Carlton Residences are greeted by a doorman and a grand lobby, just off the Town Square shopping center. There is 24/7 concierge service, as well as a pet spa, mail and package rooms, and parking. But a lot more awaits at the top floor, where 12,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor space has been carefully curated into nine different areas, each designed to complement and enrich the day or night. With names like the Den, the Crescent Room, Sky Terrace, the Movement Studio, and Scotch & Hearth, these spaces are devoted to pastimes such as lounging, reading, exercise, wellness, yoga, media, dining, libations, and more.
