The Magdaline Condominiums
Located at 1354 Euclid Street NW, Washington, DC 20009 | Columbia Heights
With its narrow, modern edifice, the Magdaline makes the most of its small sliver of space in the Columbia Heights neighborhood. While architecturally appealing with its glass and brick cubism, the four-story condominium must have presented an interesting conundrum for its builders, shoehorned between two much larger building. Fortunately, the lot is a lot deeper than it is wide, and this spiky obelisk is home to 20 very cool residences that are surprisingly spacious and beautifully laid out. Other boutique condominiums in the neighborhood include Celsius, City Overlook, and the Helicopter Factory.

More About the Magdaline, Washington, DC
It shouldn’t surprise anyone that floorplans at the Magdaline tend to be linear, given the shape of the lot and therefore the building itself. Nonetheless, the developers succeeded admirably in the execution of layouts that are both welcoming and inventive. Boxy bays, high ceilings, outdoor terraces, and voguish finishes are all part of the picture. Notable for a boutique building is the large fitness center with machines, free weights, and overhead TV screens. Residents also enjoy a library/lounge, a shared roof deck, cute outdoor landscaping, extra storage, and gated off-street parking.
Location is another bonus, with the Magdaline positioned near the corner of Euclid and 14th Street, just a short stroll from the legendary Meridian Hill Park with its waterfalls and sculptures. The Columbia Heights Metro Station at 14th Street is a half-dozen blocks to the north, and the Banneker Rec Center with its giant swimming pool is about three blocks east. The Whole Foods Market is also nearby, as are numerous bakeries, bars, and restaurants along 14th Street, as well as the U Street Corridor to the south.
