Condominium residences are Sutton Towers are known for their generous sizes. Although there are a handful of cozy efficiencies, the majority of units are one or two-bedroom layouts, ranging from around 1,000 to 1,600 square feet. Sutton Towers was built in 1979, with a red brick exterior and a design that is reminiscent of the International style of architecture. While the official street address is attributed to New Mexico Ave, the building is actually positioned off a private road called Sutton Place and is part of a gated community with a number of townhouses and condo buildings that were all developed around the same time. The age of the building is reflected in some of the interior design elements such as original parquet wood floors. But make no mistake, Sutton Towers has always been well regarded for its contemporary style, huge windows, and upscale kitchens.

In addition to the woodsy setting, residents at Sutton Towers enjoy a wide array of amenities, including a staffed front desk and a 24-hour doorman. The neighborhood is nestled into verdant greenspaces along three sides, including Battery Kemble Park and Glover Archbold Park. The campus of American University is to the north, and the Berkley neighborhood is to the south.
