More About Cityline at Tenley, Washington, DC

The large Cityline complex was originally a Sears department store, built in 1941 with a distinctive Streamline Moderne design featuring curvilinear facades. It later became a Hechinger home improvement center. The large structure was eventually vacated, standing empty for years before being purchased by Roadside Development around 2001. The well-known architectural firm of Shalom Baranes was brought in to shepherd the ambitious transformation to condominium residences, with several stores at the street level including Target Grocery, the Container Store, and Ace Hardware. Additionally, the Tenleytown-AU Metro Station has entrances on both sides of Wisconsin Avenue, including by Cityline at Tenley. The Tenleytown neighborhood is immediately east of American University Park and south of Friendship Heights.

Condo owners enjoy a number of amenities, including a stylish lobby with wireless internet, a staffed front desk and 24-hour concierge service. There is also a well-equipped fitness center, a business center, and two nicely landscaped courtyards. Most units come with parking.
