Both a landmark building and a luxury condominium, 2501 Penn is also sometimes known as 2501 Pennsylvania. Located in the West End neighborhood, the Romanesque Revival structure is home to just 16 residences, with some of the most spacious apartment floorplans in Washington, DC. The West End neighborhood has seen substantial changes in recent decades, and 2501 Penn is one of the few remaining historic buildings along a particular stretch of Pennsylvania Avenue. An early example of mixed-use development, 2501 was designed by John H. Nolan and completed in 1896 as the Luzon apartments and included street level storefronts. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1994, and substantially renovated in 2008 as 2501 Penn.

From the street, 2501 Penn is an architecturally significant building with charming front bays and limestone details. Inside are spacious residences that range from around 2,200 to 4,500 square feet.
