More About 1225 Lofts, Washington, DC

From the street, the redesigned building at 1225 13th Street has an Art Deco appearance, with gray and white sections as well as cubist bays. When first completed in 2003, nearly every unit had its own individual floorplan, with additional variations between the apartment style and true loft residences. The lofts had maple hardwood floors while the single-level condos had cream carpet. All kitchens were open with stone counters and stainless steel appliances, and the lofts had an added industrial appeal with black iron spiral staircases and double floor windows that allow natural light to flood inside. All residences have washers and dryers, as well as dishwashers. During the years that followed the 2003 redevelopment, many of the condos have undergone subsequent remodels and upgrades.

Residents at 1225 Lofts enjoy a sleek lobby with black and white terrazzo flooring, as well as extra storage. The building has a limited number of underground parking spaces. The location is certainly part of the appeal, right in the heart of the Logan Circle neighborhood, and a couple blocks from the famed traffic circle itself with its grassy inner park. The 14th Street restaurant row is a block west, with numerous other eateries along 11th Street to the east. This means a close proximity to local favorites like Supra, JINYA Ramen Bar, El Sol Restaurante & Tequileria, Arepa Zone, Le Diplomate, and so many others.
